#NBNTWEETUP

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the Nefesh B'Nefesh Tweetup.  It was a social media event bridging the gap between the United States and Israel by harnassing and connecting social media personalities.

I went because I knew a few of my friends who were going, and I wanted to connect and meet others in the social media world. But honestly I wanted to meet Jamie Geller from Joy of Kosher and Laura Ben-David author of Moving Up. It has always been a dream of mine to make Aliyah.
Me and My friend Chana :)

Jamie Geller is doing what I have always wanted to do. She is making Aliyah this summer via Nefesh B'Nefesh. One day, I too will take the trip to the Holy Land and live up north surrounded by fruit trees, hills, and unbelievable holiness. But for now, as circumstances have it, I will live vicariously through Jamie.

She is currently filming a documentary of her move called Joy of Aliyah.  I am actually in this first video - well at least my back is! At 3:30 (You can even see her mouth the words Abbey as she hugs me) and then again at 3:53 when we were chatting.

Till next time,

Abbey

  1. How fun to be mentioned in your blog! And I only even saw it by chance on Jamie's FB wall. Looking forward to changing places when I come to YOUR tweetup in NYC! ~L.
